Africa is home to the world’s most dynamic youth population—yet millions of young changemakers lack access to the tools, networks, and spaces to turn their ideas into scalable impact. Traditional education systems often overlook the power of youth-led innovation in addressing community challenges, fueling civic participation, and building local economies.

PLED Labs are local innovation hubs where youth (ages 16–30) apply Problem Solving, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Design Thinking (PLED) to create tech-powered solutions for pressing community challenges.

Each lab serves as a dynamic space for social innovation bootcamps, civic tech hackathons, and leadership accelerators—linking youth ideas with real-world implementation, mentorship, and microgrants.
