Girls in Future Tech (GIFT) Initiative

🎯 Problem Statement

Girls and young women remain severely underrepresented in STEM fields across Africa, especially in areas like coding, robotics, AI, and digital innovation. Social norms, limited access to tech education, and a lack of female mentors compound the challenge.

While global investment in women and girls in tech is growing, there is an urgent need for grassroots, scalable, and sustained programs that not only teach STEM skills—but also build confidence, leadership, and long-term career pathways for girls.

✅ Our Solution

The Girls in Future Tech (GIFT) Initiative is a flagship, gender-transformative program that empowers girls ages 10–22 through STEM education, mentorship, leadership development, and digital innovation.

GIFT creates safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces where girls can explore science, build tech solutions, and visualize themselves as future engineers, coders, inventors, and policy leaders. The initiative blends coding bootcamps, design thinking, and career mentorship into one holistic journey from classroom to career.
