As the world transitions toward a green economy, there is a growing demand for skilled workers in climate-resilient sectors like solar energy, sustainable agriculture, and green manufacturing. However, in the Global South—particularly among youth—there is a critical digital and technical skills gap that limits access to these emerging opportunities.
Without intentional investment in climate-relevant digital skills, millions of young people risk being excluded from the future workforce, and countries risk missing their sustainability and economic growth targets.
The Green Economy Digital Skills Accelerator (GEDSA) is an innovative training initiative that equips youth (ages 18–35) with market-relevant digital and green skills to thrive in sustainability-driven industries.
The program combines climate literacy, hands-on digital training, and green entrepreneurship coaching across key sectors such as solar energy, clean tech, green agriculture, and circular economy innovation. GEDSA empowers young people not only to find jobs—but to create solutions that fuel the green transition in their communities.
